About Us
Above Health Fitness is created and led by Becky Hanson, weight lifter/bodybuilder, runner, triathlete, and certified personal trainer and nutrition coach with nearly a decade of experience coaching dozens of clients reach their goals.
“I grew up playing sports, and once high school was over and sports were over for me, I starting gaining weight. I was comparing myself to friends that I no longer looked like, and my body image was at an all-time low. My mom basically gave me an ultimatum: join another sports team or join a gym. So I joined my first gym and started going every once in a while. I had no clue what I was doing and just copied workouts on Instagram that I found. Over about a year, I started to enjoy it and enjoyed feeling stronger.
College started, and I started going more consistently, however I got too focused on how I looked instead of how I felt. I started eating substantially under what my body really needed and doing at least an hour of cardio a day. I was exhausted, I began binge-eating, and I lost my period during this time. I was the skinniest I’ve been, and also the unhealthiest.
Finding out how to enjoy a healthy lifestyle in a way that’s sustainable, to the point that you could happily live this lifestyle for the rest of your life.
I wasted years not knowing what to do, and using trial and error. I don’t want other people to do the same, or to go through this journey alone. Above Health is all encompassing. I want to help you and walk with you in every facet of life, because this is a LIFEstyle
From helping you with groceries and meal prepping/planning, to teaching you what to order at restaurants, to curating workouts for you that we can tweak based on what you’re enjoying every week, to accountability and financial coaching. Making it a lifestyle isn’t as simple as just being handed workouts. I want to TEACH.
Basically, our goal is that you know so much by working with us, you don’t need us anymore. I want you to fall in love with your life the way I have with mine.'“
